TeamLab FAQs
Do you have a question?
Please get in touch with us if you cannot find the answer below.
We would love a chat.
We have a very small team, can you still do something for us?
We sure can. Give us a call or send us an email and we will plan an amazing activity or workshop for you and your team.
We have 500 people can you still do something for us?
Of course. Please bear in mind we may need a slightly longer lead time with a group of this size. Give us a call or send us an email to discuss your needs.
How do I make a booking?
You can contact us via email (info@teamlab.com.au), completing a Form through our ‘Enquire Here’ button on our website, or calling us on 0411 630 197. If you contact us by email or via the website, we will give you a call to gather any further information we may need.
Once a booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email and any further details you need to know.
Can you customise my booking?
Of course, we love to work with our clients to tailor activities to their needs. If you have any specific requirements or a specific activity or workshop in mind, please let us know.
Do I need to give you a deposit?
YYes please. We require a 50% deposit to confirm all bookings. This will ensure that our staff are booked, any preparation is completed, and we are ready to go on the day.
When is final payment due?
IIf you have paid by deposit, we prefer final payment at least 7 days prior to the activity or workshop so we can pay our staff, we do realise for many businesses this is not possible. Our terms are for payment no later than 7 days post the activity or workshop. We prefer direct deposit, but for convenience we also offer credit card payments, although this does incur the additional fee charged by provider. Contact us if you would like to pay by credit card or follow the link on your invoice.
What if the weather forecast is too hot / rainy?
Weather is unpredictable, and we get that. For all outdoor activities, we monitor the weather from 3 days before the activity. If there is a chance of temperatures reaching over 32ºc or excessive rain or storms, we will be in touch with you. You can choose to reschedule, cancel, or move to an indoor activity at your selected time. If you wish to reschedule or cancel, see below. Indoor activities are subject to the availability of an indoor venue and may incur a venue hire fee.
What is your reschedule or cancelation policy?
TeamLab Perth understands that the unexpected can happen and you may need to reschedule or cancel a booking.
We ask that you recognise that once a booking is made, we act on it immediately. This includes scheduling our staff, preparing all equipment and materials, blocking out our availability calendar, and making preparations so your event runs smoothly.
For these reasons, our Cancellation Policy applies to all confirmed bookings for our Activities and Workshops.
How do you ensure social distancing?
Physical distancing is important to keep all of us safe and healthy. We have modified many of our clues to enable physical distancing and encourage all teams to take personal responsibility for maintaining their required physical distancing. Do you have insurance?
Yes, we do. We have public liability insurance, and professional indemnity insurance.
Do you organise post-activity social events?
We do not organise post-activity social events. But we can finish our outdoor activities close to a location of your choice.
How long does an activity take?
Most activities, from start to finish takes about 3 hours. We have found that this is suitable for most groups. If you would like an activity shorter or longer, please call us to discuss your needs. Some of our activities are shorter and this is detailed on our website.
How fit do I need to be?
All our programs that include following clues (Scavenger Hunt, Amazing Race, Urban Challenge) include lots of clues to plan your route. Some of the clues are more active than others but you can choose which you do and which you skip. It can be as long or as short as you like. Most of our Activities that include walking are between 3 and 5 kms in length. In most of our activities not all team members must complete each challenge, this enables you to work as a team to decide who does which challenge.
I can’t walk very far, does that matter?
This really depends on the activity. Many of our activities do cover a wide area but enable you to plan your route. This helps teams decide if they want to do the clues close together or those that are farther apart. We make sure the overall distance will be about 3-5kms. To make sure we can meet the needs of all of your team members, please give us a call to discuss any modifications that may need to be made.
Do I need to bring any money?
You do not need to bring any money but you may wish to have a couple dollars on hand in case you want to purchase water or some snacks while you are out and about.
How many people on each team?
In our experience, team sizes of 5-7 are ideal. This size enables everyone to participate and contribute to the activity. If you have a small team, we can also do teams of 3-4.
Do you determine the team make-up or do I?
The make-up of your teams is purely up to you. You can come with the teams already decided or we can randomly build the teams for you. If you would like your team to have a mix of staff who know each other well and those that don’t, we recommend selecting teams at random. This helps build the bonds and connections between team mates. If your activity has multiple departments attending, you can be a bit competitive between departments or mix them up.
Do we need to use our own smartphone?
This depends on the activity you have chosen to do. We do have some clues that require a member of your team to send us photos to gain points. We may also text you a bonus clue. We strongly discourage you from using your smartphone to find answers or locations, there are plenty of people who know the area that you can ask.
Where will we be meeting?
About one week prior to the scheduled activity day, we will provide you with the time and location of the start. Most of the time we will work with you to identify the best starting location and finishing location, especially if you are having a meal after the event. TeamLab Team Building staff will be at the location at least 30 minutes prior to the start time waiting for you to arrive.
Who do I contact if I am running late?
If your group is going to be late to the meeting point, please contact TeamLab Team Building Perth on 0411 630 197. If one of your team mates is running late, let a colleague who is attending to let us know. We will remain at the starting point after the teams have left for about 20 minutes for anyone that is running late.
What if we get lost?
We understand that this is a possibility and sometimes unforeseen circumstances happen, such as time getting away from you. At the start of the activity, we provide you with a contact phone number of one of our team members if you need to contact us.
Where do you run your activities?
We run most of our outdoor activities in Fremantle and the Perth CBD, as they are the most popular requests. If you would like an activity run in another area, please give us a call. We are West Australians so have a very good knowledge of the state and can customise an event to your location.
One of our team members uses a wheelchair, can this be accommodated?
TeamLab Team Building Perth values the diversity of our community. If any of your team members have additional requirements that require accommodating, please give us a call to discuss those requirements. We try to ensure all of our events are physically accessible, but unfortunately some parts of our community are not fully accessible. Contact us and we will ensure that our program is accommodating to the needs of your staff.
Do you provide water and sunscreen?
We provide sunscreen during all of our outdoor activities, and we encourage everyone to apply sunscreen before attending. Please make sure you bring a hat and a water bottle for the activity, especially in the summer months. We recommend everyone dress for the weather and walking, moving and bending. If you need to purchase water during the activity, please bring a few dollars.
Do you travel to regional WA to deliver your activities?
Yes, we love getting out to regional WA! Travel and accommodation costs will be additional expenses. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Where do you run the workshops?
Workshops can be run in your offices or a venue of your choice. If you do not have a suitable venue, we can suggest some at additional cost. Please note that we will need at least 30-days prior notice to ensure our preferred venue is available.

If you need some adjustments due to a disability or learning challenge, please do not hesitate to give us a call. We will respect your privacy in relation to any contact we have with you.
Are your facilities accessible for someone with access needs?
When we select our preferred venues, we check to ensure they are physically accessible, as well as have facilities to accommodate people with a vision or hearing impairment. If any of your team requires any adjustments, or if you would like to discuss possible adjustments, please give us a call. If we need to arrange an AUSLAN interpreter, we will need a few weeks’ notice.
Will you provide any hand-outs or do I need to print them for the team beforehand?
We can do either. We prefer to provide them to you in printed format on the day. This ensures everyone has the handouts. The cost of printing will be included in your quote. If you would prefer them to be provided to you in advance, we can do so in .pdf format.
What should I bring to the workshop?
Most importantly, an open mind and motivation to participate. The workshop is for you benefit so a willingness to participants and excitement to be there goes a long way. Of course, it does not hurt to bring a pen and a notebook.
Do you provide catering?
No, but we can organise outside catering. If you would like your workshop to be catered, please let us know in advance. This can be accommodated at an additional cost.
Can you deliver workshops virtually?
We can but it is not our preference. Our experiences show that attending our workshops in-person enables greater interaction and learning between the attendees. As a last option we will consider an online delivery. We do not recommend online delivery for our full-day workshops.
Do you travel to regional WA to deliver your workshops?
Yes, we love getting out to regional WA! Travel and accommodation costs will be additional expenses. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
