What do I wear to OUTDOOR team building?

Great question! The simple answer is, something comfortable. And dressing up is always welcome, although not required.
Outdoor team building will include walking, bending, crossing roads, crossing parks and being in the weather. You can usually find some shelter of a tree or shop overhang to get out of the sun / rain, but not always. And if you are competitive, I am sure you are more interested in winning than sheltering.
All weather:
Comfortable shoes: high heels do not cut it walking around Fremantle or Perth CBD. For an Urban Challenge it can be about 2-3kms if you plan your route well. It can be more than that if you get lost or need to backtrack.
Comfortable clothing: Just like for the shoes, you will be covering some distance. But we also have activities that will have you bending down or sitting on the grass. Make sure your clothing is comfortable, easy to move around in and presentable, this is work after all.
Summer:
It can get hot in the WA summer. And the temperature can change during the day. Please come prepared with:
· A water bottle
· A hat
· Long sleeves
· Loose clothing
· Sunscreen
· Sunglasses
· And a couple dollars to buy drinks to rehydrate
If it is too hot, we will talk to your organiser and decide on a course of action a few days before.
Winter:
And we know winter in Perth. Rainy one minute and overcast the next, with a bit of sun thrown in on occasion. And on some days, it can be really cold. Come prepared with:
· Raincoat
· Umbrella
· Shoes that don’t get too wet in rain / puddles
· Scarf, gloves and beanie
· And a couple dollars for a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate
If it is light rain we will go ahead. If it is predicted to be stormy, we will talk to your organiser and decide on a course of action a few days before.
Spring and Autumn or in between seasons:
· This is the most unpredictable in Perth. My recommendation, all of the above! Your best bet is to check the weather, make a guess and grab what is most suitable. Be comfortable and dress in layers, maybe with a raincoat.
If you need anything particular to ensure you can participate in an outdoor activity, please let us know. Whether it be accessible to a wheelchair or mobility aid, large print, or anything else, please let us know.
