When one of our clients approached TeamLab for a meaningful team-building experience, they were looking for more than just a fun day out. The original enquiry requested an ‘Activity that can give back to the local community'.
At TeamLab, we believe in purposeful team building – where every activity not only strengthens teams but also creates ripple effects of positive impact. Our recent Packs for Good event is the perfect example.
Participants completed a range of activities before they packed and donated over 100 Packs for Good for OVIS; an organisation supporting individuals and families experiencing domestic and family violence in the Peel region.
This activity was a quadruple win:
For the Peel Community: The care packs provided essential comfort items for women and children in crisis, delivered directly to OVIS.
For Participants: The team building session helped staff engage meaningfully, collaborate under pressure, and connect through shared purpose.
For OVIS: The donation supported their mission in a very practical and immediate way for a significant number of individuals and families.
For Our Client: The session delivered real value – fun, connection, and purpose – while also supporting local communities and strengthening their reputation for supporting the local area.
TeamLab’s Role - We designed and delivered the experience end-to-end. From sourcing pack materials to facilitating the session and coordinating the donation, we made sure every detail aligned with the client’s values and objectives. For us, it was a win too – we got to support a local organisation, deliver an impactful session, employ staff and grow our reputation for professional fun with purpose.
Community Impact
The real heroes? The families supported by OVIS, who receive the care packs during incredibly challenging times. Practical help. Emotional comfort. A reminder they are not alone.
This is what happens when team building meets purpose.
This is team building that matters – where corporate investment doesn’t just result in better teams, but better outcomes for those in need.
