The Building Better Teams Package begins with our core module: All About Teams.
Core Module: All About Teams: This is our core workshop that is a pre-requisite to the other modules. It sets the foundations on understanding teams, the characteristics and benefits of an effective team, and understanding who is on your team. This workshop is free with the booking of any other workshop.
From this starting module, you can then mix and match from any of the following eight workshops. They can be delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
1. Effective Communication and Listening Skills: The session focuses on understanding and building communication and listening skills to enhance the effectiveness of communication. We will explore how we communicate, non-verbal communication, how to understand what is not being said, and the impact of poor communication. We will also explore how you can 'tame' all of the things that pop into your head when you should be listening. This is a fun and interactive session that sees teams participate in engaging listening activities and 'miscommunicating' to understand the message.
2. Stages of team development: We all know that the theory behind things can be a bit boring. But we make sure that is not the case here. Join us for a session on understanding the team development stages and gain insight into how to work with, and within, a team at each stage. You will understand which stage your team is at now, the strengths and impacts of this stage. You will develop an Individual or Group Action Plan to take away.
3. Team Engagement Strategies: Engaged teams have greater connections and improved performance. This session will discuss a range of strategies that can be used to develop team engagement - from the team meeting, to supervision, to rewards and recognition. How can you keep engaged in the busy-ness of the day to day? Join us to trial and test some key strategies for effectively building the team to enhance engagement. At the end of the session, your ideas accumulate in an Action Plan for you.
4. Customer Service Training: Customers are all around us. We are customers. In this workshop we will look at all types of customers and how we can serve them better and improve ourselves in the process. We will understand what customer service actually means, the different types of customers and their needs, and how you can provide excellent customer service, including managing difficult customers.
5. Diversity and Inclusion: We will explore diversity and the value it provides to organisations that reflect the community in which they work. This workshop will focus on understanding stereotypes and biases, strategies for removing barriers and identify ways to encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
6. Emotional Intelligence: Emotions can influence motivation and behaviour. Our ability to understand our own feelings, and that of groups, will be explored in this session. We will explore self-awareness and self-motivation, successful non-verbal communication, relate emotional intelligence to the workplace, and how to balance optimism and pessimism.
7. Time Management: We are living in busy times where we often get pulled from one place to another on a daily basis. This workshop will provide you with a range of strategies that you can use to manage your time. Learn how to minimise distractions, prioritise your tasks, and keep meetings on track.
8. Working with remote and hybrid teams: Many of us have spent the last year and a bit working from home, from the office, or both. This has challenged us to maintain or build team connections, participate in online conversations, and find a balance between our work and home. In this session we will explore working remotely and in hybrid teams, focusing on how to remain engaged, and provide you with the tips to working in a virtual environment.
